Copper Canyon is a 260-acre master-planned community located in Dayton, Nevada—ideally positioned between Carson City, the state capital, and the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC). TRIC is home to millions of square feet of industrial, manufacturing, and distribution space, including major facilities operated by Tesla, Google, and Switch. The Copper Canyon project is entitled for 585 residential lots, with 299 already sold and developed by Lennar Homes.
Conveniently situated just north of U.S. Highway 50, the community offers quick and easy access to both Carson City and TRIC. Residents of the Dayton area enjoy a wide variety of nearby amenities, including shopping, parks, golf courses, open spaces, and gaming options.
The community is well kept and towards the middle to upper price range for homes in Dayton. Copper Canyon also has an excellent blend of both young families, and retirees who are attracted to the multi-generational Lennar NextGen Homes that featured a separate living space for older family members or extended guests. The proximity to the hills and mountains makes for stunning sunrises and sunsets all year round.
Because the community is located next to open lands on a typical day you will see multiple wild horses grazing in the neighborhoods. Another great lifestyle feature is the miles of trials for ATV, Motorcycling and Side by Side riding. No trailer needed just drive your off-road vehicle to the end of the street and onto the open area riding trail.

These point toward planned future development (more lots ready/mapped) at the site, but development in Dayton is limited for the foreseeable future … due to major engineering mistake” within the Dayton Sewer Service Area.
That suggests infrastructure (sewer/water) constraints may delay or pause further residential build-out in the area.

The Community has 3 community associations, Copper Canyon Estates which are primarily responsible for the maintenance of common areas including drainage, Rip Rap and the mailboxes
